1 MORE TIL 21 MORE

Nothing crazy happened this week. Nobody opens their doors, understandably. SO again, pretty short email.

Transfer calls occurred and I'm staying with my companion, Elder Walker, for 6 more weeks in Tallahassee.

Ran into some Hebrew-Israelites at the park who called us over to argue with us. They told us we are going to Hell for being white. Knew that already.

HIGHLIGHTS:

● Hit my 2 month mark. 22 to go.

● Cold front hit and it's been like 20 degrees a few days of the week. And 60 degrees on the other days

FSU FOOTBALL 🏈

This week was a fine mix of wanting to flip a table, but also fun firsts.

We personally toured the Florida State Seminoles athletic facility. Managed to get into the football stadiums sweets as well as the roof after climbing a few ladders. Even met a few football players coming off the elevator. They're still bitter lol. Understandably. The rest of the campus is sweet though. Gives off Renaissance vibes because of the architecture.

Wednesday around 8:00 pm, during an exchange with the zone leaders, I got pulled over because the cop thought our brake lights were out. We cleared the problem up but once he realized we were missionaries, the Cop proceeded to keep us for 30 minutes and tell us about HIS Christianity.

He told us how he believes there are 2 different jesus’ (for sure). He finished off by telling us to have an open mind about joining other religions.

Highlights:

● FSU has a bunch of Jameis Winston shrines… I wonder if they know πŸ€”

● Tornado Warning got issued πŸŒͺ

● Met the FSU Girls Volleyball team 🏐

MARRIAGE

Waddup boys. On today's episode we have 3 main attractions:

1. This guy we are teaching named Demarcus randomly asked, mid lesson, how long I've been married. I Sat there baffled because i thought he was insinuating that my companion and I were married. until I realized that he was referring to my CTR ring. I told him a few months and moved onto the next conversation.

2. We did exchanges last Wednesday. This means I swap companions for 24 hours with another set of missionaries. It was my turn to lead out my area with a new companion and I came home and sacked. Out. So tiring. Mad respect to trainers.

3. Lastly, I had an interview with my mission president. He told me to slow down my driving… I hate you TIWI. Not only annoying but you're a snitch too.

HIGHLIGHTS:

● Did service for some members and our reward was he got us into CostcoπŸ€™

● Surprised a member on her bday with cake πŸŽ‚ (picture below).

OFFICIALLY 19 YEARS OF AGE

Celebrated Christmas and my birthday this past week so it's been exciting. Only had 3 major things happen really so this will be quick.

1. I can drive again and life's great now. I missed driving so much these past 5 weeks, and now that I CAN drive, Elder Hall is a happy camper... EXCEPT we have a monitor in the car named “tiwi”. Tiwi beeps at you loudly to “CHECK YOUR SPEED” everytime you go 8 mph over the speed limit. They teach us not to have road rage but TIWI is the sole reason I want to drive headfirst into oncoming traffic. (I've been pretty good about not swearing but that machine’s brought out the devil in me a few times.)

2. Left my Companion for 30 minutes on a bike ride, around the block, with a guy we were teaching for the first time. My comp about called the mission president until I rolled back around at the perfect time. So that was a close one. Don't regret it, would do it again.

3. And lastly, One guy we've been in contact with told us he's been using his book of Mormon pages to roll his blunts… honestly, that's one of the coolest things I've ever heard. BUT he does want to meet with us again so that's a win.

That's pretty much it. Until next time.
