FSU FOOTBALL 🏈

This week was a fine mix of wanting to flip a table, but also fun firsts.

We personally toured the Florida State Seminoles athletic facility. Managed to get into the football stadiums sweets as well as the roof after climbing a few ladders. Even met a few football players coming off the elevator. They're still bitter lol. Understandably. The rest of the campus is sweet though. Gives off Renaissance vibes because of the architecture.

Wednesday around 8:00 pm, during an exchange with the zone leaders, I got pulled over because the cop thought our brake lights were out. We cleared the problem up but once he realized we were missionaries, the Cop proceeded to keep us for 30 minutes and tell us about HIS Christianity.

He told us how he believes there are 2 different jesus’ (for sure). He finished off by telling us to have an open mind about joining other religions.

Highlights:

● FSU has a bunch of Jameis Winston shrines… I wonder if they know 🤔

● Tornado Warning got issued 🌪

● Met the FSU Girls Volleyball team 🏐

● ❤️‍🔥🦕🦖

FIRST WEEK IN FLORIDA

This 1 week has felt like 6. The days just blend together from everything we've done. It's just the normal teaching stuff, so. Not gonna bore you with a 3 paragraph long story about teaching someone or them deciding to come to church… but just know it's happening. Take notes boys.

Teaching is fun though. Progression in anyone's life is great to see. Especially when it stems from the words you're teaching.

One noteworthy thing was we got rear ended, at a stoplight, on Thursday or Friday (again the days blend together). But that was a Gnarly case of whiplash. Still have a headache writing this. Count your days Diaz..

And a man named Curtis asked me for 2 sticks of gum to keep him from doing blow during our lesson. Totally understandable, I'd do the same.

Until next time.

HIGHLIGHTS:

● The cops got called on us because a lady we were teaching was laughing too loudly.

● 3rd time being called “Finnick” from the Hunger Games on my mission (something about a “sugar cube scene”)

● “Machine Gun Kelly” is another nickname I've been gifted a few times (Not an insult. Megan fox. Cmon)

● Met a fellow Elvis fanatic in the ward who gifted me a tie and an Elvis mug 🤌

● Got a Christmas tree 🎄(shoutout dawn - pictured below)
