3 Months Later

 February 24, 2025

It's been 3 months since I sent an email, so here is a minimalized recap of that time + a cool miracle.

Elder Bailey/Glenn 🧑‍🧒:
After 4 ½ months here together, Elder Bailey was transferred to a new area and I stayed.
After Elder Bailey left, I started training Elder Glenn. He is literally a mirror reflection of one of my best friends from home so I had a lot of fun training him. We taught great together and were finding lots of new people to teach. Our area has been doing great and we FINALLY started to see some friends at church. He had major “greenie energy” which was refreshing to have around haha.

Snow❄️☃️:
I really thought that I would go 2 years without seeing snow. Which i thought was a reasonable statement- living in the deep south n all. But nope. It snowed HARD here and we were stuck inside for 3 days. I am not mad at all about it but snow in Georgia is just wild.
We were told to stay off the streets so Elder Glenn and I decided to just walk to areas. That lasted all of 30 minutes before we called it quits and high tailed it home to warm up.

Emergency Transfer⚠️:
About 3 weeks ago, the first week into the new transfer, Elder Glenn was reassigned as a Spanish speaking elder and had to leave our area. In return, Elder Decoursey was assigned as my companion here in Bainbridge GA.

SURGERY🏥:
2 weeks ago I had surgery on my tongue. That was… great. Unfortunately, my tongue is STILL numb. So speaking the past few weeks has been a challenge. Asking somebody if they want to “Hear restored truths of Christ's gospel”, with a numbed tongue, makes me sound like it's my first time ever trying to speak. Praying that this numbness goes away soon and I get some more feeling back before a table gets flipped idk.

LIL MIRACLE👶:
Lastly, we had 2 area 70 members come and speak to every zone in the mission. A cool thing that has stuck with me that they said was “Go out expecting a miracle to happen”. This past week i was feeling a little defeated so the motivation wasn't always super high.

2 days ago, we were going to our appointments and nobody was answering. Well I was driving around town and randomly we spotted a little corner with 8 apartments that I swear just appeared. We decided to go knock the doors and a single mom with a new born & a daughter with autism answered. She said this was funny because she'd actually been praying for us to come by. We ended up having a great talk with her and she's committed to learning more.

It reminded me of what was said about expecting miracles as we are patient and continue to endure hardships. Amèn.

IN CONCLUSION👋:
God's good, I'm good, tongues bad. Until next time.
